Member App (Android)

Getting started

Install ArogyaKosha from the Play Store, create an account or sign in with Google, then set up your family's vault. Every record is encrypted with a PIN only you know.

1

Create an account

Sign up with Google in one tap, or with an email and password. A free 7-day trial starts automatically — no card required to explore the app.

  • Google Sign-In is the fastest path and skips password management entirely.
  • Email sign-up asks for a password meeting standard strength rules.

2

Set your Vault PIN

Before any record can be stored, you choose a 6-digit Vault PIN. This PIN encrypts your family's data end-to-end — ArogyaKosha's own servers never see it in the clear.

!

There is no PIN reset by support. If everyone in the family forgets the PIN, use Forgot PIN?, which relies on a recovery key generated at setup — save that key somewhere safe.

3

Home dashboard

After unlocking the vault, the home screen shows the currently active family member, a Health Summary card, an insurance-expiry notice when relevant, and a Documents card promoted to the top — the fastest way in for a new prescription, lab report, certificate, or insurance paper.

  • Tap the name banner at the top to switch between family members.
  • Health Summary counts real (non-virtual) documents, broken down by type — prescriptions, lab reports, certificates, insurance — plus a separate count of active medications.
  • When an insurance document's cover period is ending, a banner right below Health Summary shows the days remaining, or that it has already expired.
  • Prescriptions and Diagnostic Reports no longer have their own dashboard tiles — every document, of any type, is reached through the Documents card. Medical Records below still lists Current Medications and Chronic Conditions directly.
Add Document — file picked, type and member chosen, ready for AI auto-fill.
4

Document upload — the fastest way to add a record

From the dashboard's Documents quick-access card, tap + Add Document. This is the starting point for getting a prescription, lab report, certificate, or insurance paper into the vault — one screen handles capture, filing, and (optionally) reading the document for you.

  1. Capture. Scan a photo with the camera, or Upload an existing PDF/image/JPG/PNG from the device.
  2. Document type. Choose Prescription, Lab Report, Certificate, or Insurance — this decides which detail fields appear and how the document is read.
  3. For. Pick which family member or dependent the document belongs to. You can file it under anyone in the vault without switching who's active first.
  4. Auto-fill with Gemini AI (optional). Tap Agree & Extract to send the file once to Google Gemini, which reads it and pre-fills hospital/doctor, lab name, dates, or insurance details — and for a prescription, the diagnoses and medications too. Not willing to send it? Tap Not now and type the details in yourself; nothing about saving the document depends on AI.
  5. Save Document. A prescription's AI-extracted diagnoses and medications are added automatically with sensible defaults — there is no extra review screen. Adjust dosage, frequency, or anything else afterwards from Medications, or from the document itself (see Document detail).
i

If Gemini is unreachable or returns an error, the screen just says so and leaves the fields for manual entry — fill them in now, or reselect the same document later to give auto-fill another try. Either way the upload itself isn't blocked.

Need to fix something afterward? Go to the record's own section — Prescriptions, Diagnostic Reports, Medical Records, or Documents — and tap the menu on the card for Edit or Delete. Each section also has its own + button to add an entry directly, without going through Document Upload at all — AI extraction is a shortcut, not the only way in.

After "Agree & Extract" — Gemini pre-filled the doctor field from a real API call.

Document detail — everything linked to one document

Every medication, diagnosis, and visit is always tied to the document it came from — a real upload, or an automatic "virtual" document behind the scenes for anything entered by hand. Open any document from the Documents list to see and manage all of it in one place:

  • Visit. The hospital/doctor and date this document belongs to.
  • Diagnoses from this document. Listed with an inline field to add another diagnosis directly against this same document, without leaving the screen.
  • Medications from this document. Edit, mark complete, or reactivate a completed medication right from here.
  • Edit (pencil icon, real documents only) updates the document's own details — hospital, doctor, dates — and carries the hospital/doctor change into its linked visit.
!

Deleting a document deletes everything linked to it. The confirmation names exactly what will go — medications, diagnoses, reports, admissions — before you commit.

Family vault

One ArogyaKosha account can hold an entire family. Add a spouse as a co-owner, and children or elders as dependents — all under the same encrypted vault and the same PIN.

Medications, diagnostic reports & timeline

Every lab report you file via Document Upload appears here with its test name, lab, date, and result. Every prescription, report, certificate, insurance document, and admission also lands on the Timeline, in date order.

Marking a medication complete

A finished course doesn't need to be deleted to get it off Current Medications — tap the check icon on any medication to mark it complete. It disappears from the active list and Health Summary's count, but stays fully visible (and reactivatable) from the document it came from.

Vault PIN & security

Records are encrypted on-device before they ever leave your phone. The same PIN unlocks the vault on the web portal, so switching between phone and browser is seamless — nothing needs re-encrypting.

  • The vault auto-locks after the app has been backgrounded for a while.
  • Biometric unlock (fingerprint/face) can substitute for typing the PIN each time, once it's been entered once per session.
  • Log out, available right on the PIN screen, ends the session entirely — use it to switch to a different ArogyaKosha account without needing to know this one's PIN.
